Inspection of Pollution Prevention Equipment

• 33 (1) The fee payable for an inspection during the construction or manufacture of components of a piece of a ship’s operational pollution prevention equipment is $100.

• (2) The fee payable for the issuance of a Certificate of Approval of a ship’s operational pollution prevention equipment, when inspected, tested and approved by an inspector in accordance with an International Maritime Organization (IMO) Standard, is $300.

• (3) The fee payable for the issuance of a Certificate of Approval of a ship’s operational pollution prevention equipment that meets the requirements of the Oil Pollution Prevention Regulations and the Dangerous Chemicals and Noxious Liquid Substances Regulations, when approved by another Administration that is a signatory to the Pollution Convention, is $400.

Dangerous Chemical and Noxious Liquid Substance — under Annex II to the Pollution Convention

• 34 (1) In addition to any other fees payable, the fee payable for an inspection leading to the issuance of an International Pollution Prevention Certificate for the Carriage of Noxious Liquid Substances in Bulk, a Canadian Pollution Prevention Certificate for the Carriage of Noxious Liquid Substances in Bulk, an International Certificate of Fitness for the Carriage of Dangerous Chemicals in Bulk, a Certificate of Fitness for the Carriage of Dangerous Chemicals in Bulk or a Certificate of Compliance (Noxious Liquid Substances), for a ship having the gross tonnage set out in column I of an item of the table to this section, is the applicable fee set out in column II, III or IV of the item.

• (2) In addition to any other fee payable, a fee of $10 is payable for the inspection of a ship in respect of each dangerous chemical or noxious liquid substance specified in Annex II to the Pollution Convention and Chapter 17 of the International Code for the Construction and Equipment of Ships Carrying Dangerous Chemicals in Bulk (IBC Code) and listed for carriage in the Procedures and Arrangement Manual of the ship.

Great Lakes Sewage Pollution Prevention

Inspection of Marine Sanitation Devices

• 35 (1) The fee payable for an inspection during the construction or manufacture of components of each piece of a ship’s operational marine sanitation device is $100.

• (2) The fee payable for the issuance of a Certificate of Approval of a ship’s operational marine sanitation device, when inspected, tested and approved by an inspector in accordance with the Great Lakes Sewage Pollution Prevention Regulations, is $300.

• (3) The fee payable for the issuance of a Certificate of Approval of a ship’s operational marine sanitation device that meets the requirements of the Great Lakes Sewage Pollution Prevention Regulations, when approved by another Administration, is $400.
