Regulations Permitting the Use of the Name of a Company in a Document in Connection with a Transaction Related to Securities

His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Finance, pursuant to section 531 and subsection 533(4) of the Trust and Loan Companies ActFootnote *, is pleased hereby to make the annexed Regulations permitting the use of the name of a company in a document in connection with a transaction related to securities, effective June 1, 1992.

Short Title

 These Regulations may be cited as the Name Use (Trust and Loan Companies) Regulations.

Permitted Use of Name

 A person may use the name of a company in a prospectus, an offering memorandum, a takeover bid circular, an advertisement for a transaction related to securities or in any other document in connection with a transaction related to securities where the use is required by law or the Company has given its express written permission for the use.
