Dryden Airport Zoning Regulations (SOR/84-734)

SCHEDULE(ss. 2 and 3)

PART IDescription of Airport Reference Point

The airport reference point is a point distant 80.08 m measured northerly at right angles to the centre line of runway 11-29, from a point distant 735.13 m measured westerly along the said centre line from the easterly end of the said runway.

PART IIDescription of the Outer Limits of Lands

The boundary of the outer limits of lands, shown on Dryden Airport Zoning Plan No. 60-090-82-45, Sheets 1 to 14, dated July 26th, 1983, is described as follows:

Commencing at the northwesterly corner of Lot 23, Concession 10 of the geographic Township of Zealand;

THENCE easterly along the line between Concessions 10 and 11, across Lots 23, 22 and 21 to the southeasterly corner of Lot 21, Concession 11;

THENCE northerly along the line between Lot 20 and Lot 21, Concession 11 to the northwesterly corner of Lot 20, Concession 11;

THENCE easterly along the line between Concessions 11 and 12 across Lot 20, 19, 18 and 17, to the point in Lot 17 where the said line intersects Pronger Lake;

THENCE easterly in a straight line across Pronger Lake to the point in Lot 15 where the line between Concessions 11 and 12 intersects Pronger Lake;

THENCE easterly along the line between Concessions 11 and 12 across Lot 15 to the northeasterly corner of Lot 15, Concession 11, being also a point in the boundary between the Township of Zealand and the township of Brownridge;

THENCE southerly along the boundary between the Township of Zealand and the Township of Brownridge to the southeasterly corner of Lot 15, Concession 11 of the Township of Zealand;

THENCE continuing southerly along the boundary between the said Townships, being also the eastern boundary of Lot 15, Concession 10, to a point in the said eastern boundary distant 730.0 metres measured northerly from the southeasterly corner of Lot 15, Concession 10;

THENCE in a straight line into the Township of Brownridge on an azimuth of 90°00′ to a point in a line drawn into the Township of Brownridge on an azimuth of 00°00′ from the northeasterly corner of Lot 14, Concession 6 in the geographic Township of Zealand;

THENCE along the last mentioned line on an azimuth of 180°00′00″ to the point where the said line meets the northeastern limit of approach surface (29);

THENCE along the northeastern limit of approach surface (29) on an azimuth of 106°53′09″ to a point being the northeasterly corner of said approach surface, the co-ordinates of which are N 5 515 050.15 E 533 843.03;

THENCE along the eastern limit of approach surface (29) on an azimuth of 205°25′00″ a distance of 4 800.00 m to a point being the southeasterly corner of said approach surface, the co-ordinates of which are N 5 510 716.72 E 531 783.83;

THENCE along the southwesterly limit of said approach surface on an azimuth of 303°56′51″ to its intersection with the line drawn on an azimuth of 00°00′ from the northeasterly corner of Lot 14, Concession 6 in the geographic Township of Zealand;

THENCE on an azimuth of 180°00′00″ along said line to the northeasterly corner of the said Lot 14, Concession 6 in the geographic Township of Zealand;

THENCE westerly along the northern boundary of Lots 14, 15 and 16 in Concession 6 of the said Township to the northwesterly corner of Lot 16, Concession 6;

THENCE southerly along the line between Lots 16 and 17, Concession 6 to the southeasterly corner of the said Lot 17;

THENCE westerly along the southerly limit of Lots 17, 18, 19 and 20, Concession 6, to the southwesterly corner of Lot 20, Concession 6;

THENCE northerly along the line between Lots 20 and 21, Concession 6 to the northwesterly corner of Lot 20, Concession 6;

THENCE westerly along the line between Concessions 6 and 7 to the southwesterly corner of Lot 22, Concession 7 in the said Township;

THENCE northerly along the line between Lots 22 and 23 to the northwesterly corner of Lot 22, Concession 7;

THENCE westerly along the line between Concessions 7 and 8 to its intersection with the western boundary of the geographic Township of Zealand, being also the southwesterly corner of Lot 23, Concession 8;

THENCE northerly along the western boundary of the said Township being also the western boundary of Lot 23, Concession 8 to the line between Concessions 8 and 9;

THENCE continuing northerly along the western boundary of the said Township being also the western boundary of Lot 23, Concession 9 to a point where the said western boundary is intersected by the southwestern limit of approach surface (11);

THENCE along the southwestern limit of approach surface (11) on an azimuth of 286°53′09″ to a point being the southwesterly corner of said approach surface the co-ordinates of which are N 5 524 392.91 E 502 992.70;

THENCE along the westerly limit of the said approach surface on an azimuth of 25°25′00″ a distance of a 4 800.00 m to a point being the northwesterly corner of approach surface (11) the co-ordinates of which are N 5 528 726.33 E 505 051.91;

THENCE along the northeasterly limit of said approach surface on an azimuth of 123°56′51″ to its intersection with the line between the Township of Wainwright and the Township of Zealand being also a point in the western boundary of Lot 23, Concession 10;

THENCE northerly along the western boundary of the said Lot 23, Concession 10 to the POINT OF COMMENCEMENT.

PART IIIDescription of the Approach Surfaces

The approach surfaces, shown on Dryden Airport Zoning Plan No. 60-090-82-45, Sheets 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 11, 12, 13 and 14, dated July 26th, 1983, are surfaces abutting each end of the strips associated with the runways designated 05-23 and 11-29 and are described as follows:

  • (a) surface abutting the end of the strip associated with runway approach 11 consisting of an inclined plane having a ratio of 1 m measured vertically to 50 m measured horizontally rising to an imaginary horizontal line drawn at right angles to the projected centre line of the strip and distant 15 000 m measured horizontally from the end of the strip; the outer ends of the imaginary horizontal line being 2 400 m from the projected centre line; said imaginary horizontal line being 300 m above the elevation at the end of the strip;

  • (b) a surface abutting the end of the strip associated with runway approach 29 consisting of an inclined plane having a ratio of 1 m measured vertically to 50 m measured horizontally rising to an imaginary horizontal line drawn at right angles to the projected centre line of the strip and distant 15 000 m measured horizontally from the end of the strip; the outer ends of the imaginary horizontal line being 2 400 m from the projected centre line; said imaginary horizontal line being 300 m above the elevation at the end of the strip;

  • (c) a surface abutting the end of the strip associated with runway approach 05 consisting of an inclined plane having a ratio of 1 m measured vertically to 20 m measured horizontally rising to an imaginary horizontal line drawn at right angles to the projected centre line of the strip and distant 2 000 m measured horizontally from the end of the strip; the outer ends of the imaginary horizontal line being 230 m from the projected centre line; said imaginary horizontal line being 100 m above the elevation at the end of the strip; and

  • (d) a surface abutting the end of the strip associated with runway approach 23 consisting of an inclined plane having a ratio of 1 m measured vertically to 20 m measured horizontally rising to an imaginary horizontal line drawn at right angles to the projected centre line of the strip and distant 2 000 m measured horizontally from the end of the strip; the outer ends of the imaginary horizontal line being 230 m from the projected centre line; said imaginary horizontal line being 100 m above the elevation at the end of the strip.

PART IVDescription of the Outer Surface

The outer surface, shown on Dryden Airport Zoning Plan No. 60-090-82-45, Sheets 1 to 10, 12 and 13, dated July 26th, 1983, is an imaginary surface located at a common plane established at a constant elevation of 45 m above the assigned elevation of the airport reference point, except that, where that common plane is less than 9 m above the surface of the ground, the imaginary surface is located at 9 m above the surface of the ground.

PART VDescription of the Strips

The strips, shown on Dryden Airport Zoning Plan No. 60-090-82-45, Sheet 6, dated July 26th, 1983, are described as follows:

  • (a) the strip associated with runway 11-29 being 300 m in width, 150 m being on each side of the centre line of the runway, and 1 889 m in length;

  • (b) the strip associated with runway 05-23 being 60 m in width, 30 m being on each side of the centre line of the runway, and 670 m in length.

PART VIDescription of the Transitional Surfaces

The transitional surfaces shown on Dryden Airport Zoning Plan No. 60-090-82-45, Sheets 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 12 and 13, dated July 26th, 1983, are described as follows:

  • (a) the transitional surface associated with runway 11-29 is a surface consisting of an inclined plane rising at a ratio of 1 m measured vertically to 7 m measured horizontally at right angles to the centre line and centre line produced of the strip extending upward and outward from the lateral limits of the strip and its approach surfaces to an intersection with the outer surface or another transitional surface of an adjoining strip;

  • (b) the transitional surface associated with runway 05-23 is a surface consisting of an inclined plane rising at a ratio of 1 m measured vertically to 5 m measured horizontally at right angles to the centre line and centre line produced of the strip extending upward and outward from the lateral limits of the strip and its approach surfaces to an intersection with the outer surface or another transitional surface of an adjoining strip.
