Authorizations
Marginal note:Authorization
1 The Minister of Foreign Affairs may
(a) issue to any person in Canada or Canadian outside Canada a permit to carry out a specified activity or transaction, or class of activity or transaction, that is restricted or prohibited under a regulation listed in the schedule; and
(b) issue a general permit allowing any person in Canada or Canadian outside Canada to carry out a specified activity or transaction, or class of activity or transaction, that is restricted or prohibited under a regulation listed in the schedule.
Marginal note:Authorization — Syria
2 The Minister of Foreign Affairs may
(a) issue to any person in Canada or Canadian outside Canada a permit to carry out a specified activity or transaction, or class of activity or transaction, that is restricted or prohibited under the Special Economic Measures (Syria) Regulations other than an activity or class of activity that is set out in section 3.4 of those Regulations; and
(b) issue a general permit allowing any person in Canada or Canadian outside Canada to carry out a specified activity or transaction, or class of activity or transaction, that is restricted or prohibited under the Special Economic Measures (Syria) Regulations other than an activity or class of activity that is set out in section 3.4 of those Regulations.
