His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, pursuant to section 11 of the North American Free Trade Agreement Implementation ActFootnote *, is pleased hereby to designate the Minister for International Trade, a member of the Queen’s Privy Council for Canada, as the Minister for the purposes of sections 1 to 9 and Parts I and III of that Act, effective January 1, 1994.
