Order Transferring from the Minister of Industry, Science and Technology to the Minister of National Health and Welfare the Powers, Duties and Functions of the Minister of Industry, Science and Technology under the Hazardous Materials Information Review Act

Whereas, pursuant to paragraph 2(a) of the Public Service Rearrangement and Transfer of Duties Act, all the powers, duties and functions of the Minister of Consumer and Corporate Affairs under any Act of Parliament were transferred to the Minister of Industry, Science and Technology by Order in Council P.C. 1993-1487 of June 25, 1993Footnote *;

And Whereas, pursuant to paragraph 2(b) of that Act, the Department of Industry, Science and Technology and the Department of Consumer and Corporate Affairs were amalgamated under the Minister of Industry, Science and Technology by that Order in Council;

Therefore, His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, pursuant to paragraph 2(a) of the Public Service Rearrangement and Transfer of Duties Act, is pleased hereby to transfer from the Minister of Industry, Science and Technology to the Minister of National Health and Welfare, all the powers, duties and functions of the Minister of Industry, Science and Technology under the Hazardous Materials Information Review Act.
