Whereas the Governor in Council is of the opinion that the cost of providing services or the use of facilities to persons by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police should be borne by the persons to whom those services or facilities are provided.
Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Solicitor General of Canada and the Treasury Board, pursuant to paragraph 19(b) of the Financial Administration Act, is pleased hereby:
(a) to revoke Order in Council P.C. 1985-1938 of June 13, 1985Footnote *; and

(b) to authorize the Solicitor General of Canada to prescribe, by order, the fee or charge to be paid by a province or municipality for the use, by a police force for which the province or municipality is responsible, of the Police Information Retrieval System owned by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
