Order Respecting the Remission of Customs Duty on Certain Goods Used in the Production of Components for Certain Aircraft

His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Finance and the Treasury Board, pursuant to section 17 of the Financial Administration Act, is pleased hereby to make the annexed Order respecting the remission of customs duty on certain goods used in the production of components for certain aircraft.

Short Title

 This Order may be cited as the Goods for Production of Aircraft Components Remission Order No. 2.

Remission

 Remission is hereby granted of the customs duty paid or payable under the Customs Tariff on goods, other than goods classified under tariff items 42700-1, 42700-2, 42700-3, 42700-4, 42700-5, 42700-6, 42700-7, 42700-8, 42700-9, 42701-1 and 42701-2 of the Customs Tariff, imported during the period commencing January 1, 1983 and ending December 31, 1985 for use exclusively in the production of components for

  • (a) aircraft of Boeing types 707, 727, 737, 747, 747SP, 757, 767, CH46 and CH47,

  • (b) aircraft of Douglas types DC-8, DC-9, DC-10, CF-18 and F-18, or

  • (c) aircraft of Lockheed types L1011, CP-140 and P-3,

on condition that a claim for remission is made to the Minister of National Revenue within three years of the date of importation.
