Regulations Respecting the Redemption of Subsidiary Coin
Short Title
1 These Regulations may be cited as the Redemption of Subsidiary Coin Regulations.
Redemption
2 Subsidiary coin of Canada that has been called in or that is unfit for circulation is redeemable at face value if it is identifiable as coin authorized for circulation in Canada as described in subsection 6(1) of the Currency Act, but the Minister of Supply and Services, or such other person as he may designate, may refuse to redeem any such coin if it appears to have been wilfully or maliciously mutilated or defaced.
