CIFTA Rules of Origin Regulations

Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Finance, pursuant to subsection 16(2)Footnote a of the Customs TariffFootnote b, makes the annexed CIFTA Rules of Origin Regulations.

Rules of Origin

The following provision is not in force.

 The following provisions of the Canada-Israel Free Trade Agreement have the force of law in Canada:

  • The following provision is not in force.

    (a) Article 3.1;

  • The following provision is not in force.

    (b) paragraph 1 of Article 3.2;

  • The following provision is not in force.

    (c) Articles 3.3 to 3.10;

  • The following provision is not in force.

    (d) paragraph 1 of Article 3.11;

  • The following provision is not in force.

    (e) Articles 3.12 to 3.14; and

  • The following provision is not in force.

    (f) Annexes 3.4 and 3.12.

Repeal

The following provision is not in force.

 The CIFTA Rules of Origin RegulationsFootnote 1 are repealed.

Coming into Force

Footnote * These Regulations come into force on the day on which the Act to amend the Canada-Israel Free Trade Agreement Implementation Act and to make related amendments to other Acts, chapter 6 of the Statutes of Canada, 2019, comes into force, but if they are registered after that day, they come into force on the day on which they are registered.
