Canada Grain Regulations

Version of section 50 from 2006-09-21 to 2010-03-10:


 The operator of a licensed transfer elevator may

  • (a) receive grain without causing it to be officially inspected, unless it is western grain that has not been previously officially inspected and an unofficial sample of it has not been submitted to the Commission for grading, on or before receipt of the grain, in lieu of an official inspection;

  • (b) discharge grain, without causing it to be officially inspected, if

    • (i) it is not for export,

    • (ii) it is for export to the United States by rail or truck, or

    • (iii) it is eastern grain for export by ship, it has previously been officially inspected and it meets the conditions in respect of its sale and inspection that are set out in the document published under the authority of the Commission and entitled Policy for Previously Inspected Eastern Grain;

  • (c) receive grain without causing it to be officially weighed, unless it is western grain that has not been previously officially weighed; and

  • (d) discharge grain, without causing it to be officially weighed, if

    • (i) it is not for export, or

    • (ii) it is for export to the United States by rail or truck.
