Version of section 26 from 2007-03-22 to 2009-09-17:
26 (1) If a trustee believes that, by reason of subsection 197(7) or (8) of the Act, the claimant is not entitled to a part of a bill of costs that has been taxed, the trustee shall withhold payment of that part.
(2) If it appears to the trustee that the amount approved by the taxing officer is excessive, the trustee shall, on giving 10 days notice to the opposite party, apply to the court to have the taxation of the bill of costs reviewed.
