Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, pursuant to section 3 of the National Security and Intelligence Committee of Parliamentarians Act, designates the Leader of the Government in the House of Commons, a member of the Queen’s Privy Council for Canada, to be the Minister for the purposes of that Act, effective on the day on which the National Security and Intelligence Committee of Parliamentarians Act, chapter 15 of the Statutes of Canada, 2017, comes into force.
