AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS MARKETING ACTNew Brunswick Turkey OrderOrder Granting Authority to Regulate the Marketing in Interprovincial and Export trade of Turkeys Produced in New BrunswickShort TitleThis Order may be cited as the New Brunswick Turkey Order.InterpretationIn this Order,Act means the Natural Products Control Act of New Brunswick; (Loi)Commodity Board means the New Brunswick Turkey Marketing Board established pursuant to the Act; (Office de commercialisation)turkey means a turkey of any variety, grade or class that is raised or kept for slaughter within the Province of New Brunswick and sold for slaughter. (dindon)Interprovincial and Export TradeThe Commodity Board is authorized to regulate the marketing of turkeys in interprovincial and export trade and for such purposes may, by order, with respect to persons and property situated within the Province of New Brunswick, exercise all or any powers like the powers exercisable by it in relation to the marketing of turkeys locally within that Province under paragraph 6(2)(k) of the Act.LeviesThe Commodity Board is authorized[Repealed, SOR/80-90]in relation to the powers granted to it by section 3 with respect to the marketing of turkeys in interprovincial and export trade,to make orders fixing, imposing and collecting levies or charges from persons situated within the Province of New Brunswick who are engaged in the production or marketing of turkeys and for such purpose classifying such persons into groups and fixing the levies or charges payable by the members of the different groups in different amounts and the Commodity Board may use such levies or charges for its purposes, including the creation of reserves and the payment of expenses and losses resulting from the sale or disposal of turkeys and the equalization or adjustment among the producers of turkeys of moneys realized from the sale thereof during such period or periods of time as it may determine.SOR/80-90
