AERONAUTICS ACTSt. Johns (Quebec) Airport Zoning RegulationsRegulations Respecting Zoning at St. Johns (Quebec) AirportShort TitleThese Regulations may be cited as the St. Johns (Quebec) Airport Zoning Regulations.InterpretationIn these Regulations,airport means St. Johns Airport, in the town of St-Jean, in the parish of St-Jean, County of St-Jean, in the Province of Quebec; (aéroport)airport reference point means the point described in Part I of the schedule; (point de repère de l’aéroport)approach surface means an imaginary inclined plane extending upward and outward from each end of a strip along and at right angles to the projected centre line thereof, which approach surface is more particularly described in Part III of the schedule; (surface d’approche)horizontal surface means an imaginary surface located above and in the immediate vicinity of the airport, which horizontal surface is more particularly described in Part IV of the schedule; (surface horizontale)Minister[Revoked, SOR/93-401, s. 2]strip means a rectangular portion of the landing area of the airport including the runway prepared for the take-off and landing of aircraft in a particular direction, which strip is more particularly described in Part V of the schedule; (bande)transitional surface means an imaginary inclined plane extending upward from the lateral limits of a strip and its approach surfaces, which transitional surface is more particularly described in Part VI of the schedule. (surface de transition)SOR/93-401, s. 2For the purposes of these Regulations, the airport reference point is deemed to be 126 feet above sea level.ApplicationSubject to subsection (2), these Regulations apply to all the lands adjacent to or in the vicinity of the airport, including public road allowances and part of the Richelieu River, the outer limits of which are described in Part II of the schedule.These Regulations do not apply to such of those lands, the outer limits of which are described in item 1 of Part II of the schedule, as form part of the airport from time to time.GeneralNo person shall erect or construct, on any land or any land under water to which these Regulations apply, any building, structure or object or any addition to any existing building, structure or object, the highest point of which will exceed in elevation at that point any of the surfaces hereinafter set out that project immediately over and above the surface of the land at that location, namely,the approach surfaces;the horizontal surface; orthe transitional surfaces.(Sections 2 and 4)Airport Reference PointPremising that the bearings hereinafter mentioned are astronomical and are referred to the centre line of strip 11-29, St. Johns Airport, St-Jean, Province of Quebec, as South 89°48′ E.BEGINNING at the intersection of the centre line of strip 11-29 with the centre runway, and two thousand eight hundred and seventy-four and seven tenths (2,874.7) feet in length and the strip associated with runway 06-24 is six hundred (600) feet in width, three hundred (300) feet being on each side of the centre line of the runway, and three thousand one hundred and sixty-five (3,165) feet in length, which strips are shown on Department of Transport Plan No. M-3710, dated
