Whereas the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission rendered Decision CRTC 97-294 on July 4, 1997 approving the application by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) to carry on an English-language FM radio programming undertaking in Montreal on the frequency 88.5 MHz, channel 203B, with an effective radiated power of 4,040 watts;

Whereas, subsequent to the rendering of Decision CRTC 97-294, the Governor in Council has received a petition requesting that the said decision be referred back to the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission for reconsideration and hearing;
