Ltd.P.C.1992-20661992917Whereas the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission rendered Decision CRTC 92-454 on July 9, 1992, approving the application for Shaw Cablesystems (B.C.) Ltd. to extend its authorized cable service area as outlined in Decision CRTC 89-462;Whereas, subsequent to the rendering of Decision CRTC 92-454, the Governor in Council has received a petition requesting that the said decision be set aside;And Whereas the Governor in Council, having considered the petition, is of the opinion that it is not in the public interest to set aside or refer Decision CRTC 92-454 back to the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission for reconsideration and hearing by the Commission;Therefore, His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Communications, pursuant to section 28 of the Broadcasting Act, hereby declines to set aside or to refer Decision CRTC 92-454 of July 9, 1992, back to the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission for reconsideration and hearing by the Commission.
