B-9.01Broadcasting ActSI/83-195201301282005104BROADCASTING ACTOrder Setting Aside Amendments to the Broadcasting Licence of Western Cablevision Limited Issued by the CRTCP.C.1983-323919831018Whereas the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission rendered Decision CRTC 83-764 on September 6, 1983 amending the broadcasting licence of Western Cablevision Limited in respect of the installation rates charged for the provision of cable television service in certain parts of British Columbia;Whereas the said Decision allows increases in installation rates that exceed the six and five per cent annual limits established by the Government’s Administered Prices Policy announced by the Minister of Finance on June 28, 1982;And Whereas the Governor in Council has determined that it is in the public interest to set aside Decision CRTC 83-764 amending the broadcasting licence of Western Cablevision Limited.Therefore, His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Communications, pursuant to subsection 23(1) of the Broadcasting Act, hereby sets aside Decision CRTC 83-764 of September 6, 1983 amending the broadcasting licence of Western Cablevision Limited in respect of the installation rates charged for the provision of cable television service in certain parts of British Columbia.
